Homework
1. Day 1: Students respond to the instructor's homework Blog, recording their very own plant activity.
2. Day 2: Students will record themselves using the NanoGong applet saying the long vowel sounds.
3. Day 3: Students will participate in "Rags to Riches," a sequencing question game located on the instructor created Glog.
Follow -Up Activities
For All Three Days:
1. Students will visit instructor created Glogs and review what they have learned by watching the videos, studying the texts, looking at the pictures, playing the games, and following the links. Students must record in a notebook at least three things they liked/disliked from the Glog.
Assessments
--Day 1: In groups students will be able to correctly label the different parts of the Plant Life Cycle using the SmartBoard.
--Day 2: Students will be able to correctly identify by writing down the long vowel sound they hear from the SmartBoard.
--Day 3: In groups students will be able to correctly organize the sequence of events of the Plant Life Cycle using the SmartBoard.
Culminating Assignment
1. Students will observe and record, using an online journal, the changes they notice each day with a class plant. Students will make sure to use sequencing key words, ordinal numbers, key vocabulary words, and words containing long vowel sounds.
